What does Charles Russell have to do with Jehovah's Witnesses?
He was THE FOUNDER OF MOST OF THE HERESIES, including the two-salvation system - one free salvation with the new covenant, and one without it, not free - you have to work for it. .

Charles T Russell -a freemason and the connection to the illuminati...
by dolphman inok, i'm not one for conspiracy theories but lately i've uncovered some interesting facts that i think warrant some attention.. first of all, russell was a freemason.
all the early watchtower and books he authored have freemason symbology and art throughout them.
not a big deal i thought, until i read more about freemasons and the so-called "illuminati", a group of 13 families that supposedly control the world.. supposedly these 13 families, such as the duponts, mcdonalds, kennedys, .

Thanks Walter.
A couple of notes:
1. The Jews were already in a covenant to remove their sins by the blood of bulls and goats. So that doesn't apply to us. Jesus was demonstrating his authority to forgive sins as God and it was triggered by the faith (belief) of the man's friends.
2. The New Covenant had not been offered yet. This agreement holds the blood value of Jesus death. It allows us to trade places with Jesus. He dies in our place as a substitutionary atonement, and we gain a perfect sin debt record.
he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. - 2 Cor. 5: 21

For JW's - Is there ever a legitimate reason to criticize?
by Sea Breeze ini had a jw quote this scripture to me recently: “study to show yourself approved” - great scripture.
but when we point out that former wt leaders didn’t study and were high school drop outs (ct russell only made it to the 7th grade) franz was a college drop out with only 2 hrs.
in koine greek, we always get the same answer - the apostles weren’t educated men either.

And when Christians point out flip flops in doctines like the organ transplant policy that unnecessarily took lives, JW’s point to a scripture that predicts Christians would be hated.
However, criminals are also many times undereducated and unpopular for similar crimes.
So, if JW’s act like jackasses and are unpopular for it, do you think that is a fulfillment of bible prophecy? In other words, is there ever a way to reasonbly criticize JW’s without it being spun by members as fullfillment of bible prophecy?

How Much Damage Would You Assess?

Good points Vidqun.
I believe "condemned" is a better word choice because Hebrews 9: 27 says we we all be judged. But, the verses you point out show that believers are not condemned. Belivers have gotten themselves in agreemment with God and were judged (condemned) along with Jesus at Calvary. Because we "died" with Christ we are also resurrected with him.
Col. 2 - In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which also you were raised with Him through the faith of the power of God

But now the thousand million dollar question: Where does that leave the majority of spectator JWs?
Vidqun,
JW's make a choice on whom to believe, just like everyone else does. Jesus offers a deal for the forgiveness of sins to "whosoever"; and Watchtower tells people the opposite - he wasn't talking to you.
The choice before people is really that simple. Whom we believe determines whether we escape the condemnation we were born into; or admitted as a son or daughter into God's royal family.John 3:18 Modern English VersionHe who believes... Him is not condemned. But he who does not believe [Him] is condemned already, because he has not believed... the only begotten Son of God.

@vienne,
With all due respect, please follow your own advice. I couldn't help but notice that in your denunciation you failed to even acknowledge the clear biblical teaching I provided about what the New Covernant is for:
And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; 28 for this is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. - Mt. Ch. 26
You know as well as I do the JW's do not believe this applies to them. They are told that this offer of forgiveness of sin debt is not directed to them.
I will write you a check right now for $1,000.00 to the charity of your choice if you can provide one NT scripture that describes how a person can get their sins forgiven OUTSIDE of the New Covenant.
Again, please follow your own advice and provide something biblical as I did just before you accused me of not providing anything biblical.Gas lighting just makes you appear mentally weak.

They don't reject it. They see it differently than you do.... Does it disqualify them as Christians? Christianity has been very diverse since Paul's day. God will determine who and what he accepts. That's not up to us.
You sound like this is some sort of Russian Roulette game. God's word tells us exactly all we need to know. Without the NC we are all "condemned already". Mt. 26: 27-28 is perfectly clear that it is "for the forgiveness of sins".
This is what Christians are looking for. To say otherwise is an impossibility, like a Muslim who worships Buddah, or a Christian who worships Satan, it can't logically exist. There is no such thing as a Christian outside of the NC "for the forgiveness of sins". That is what Jesus came to delive to man as our kinsman redeemer. -

This is the long path around my point: Personalities and a sense of entitlement differ among Witnesses in general and among Watchtower Elders. Some are 'gems,' and some are incurable fools.
But they all have one thing in common, they either reject the new covenant "for the forgiveness of sins" that Jesus offered in Mt. 26: 27-28; or they teach others to do so.
And, according to Gal. 1: 8-9; they are damned for it. -

Rattigan350,
Are you not in the new covenant yet "for the forgiveness of sins"?
Don't you want to get your sins forgiven?

Romans 10: 9 Simple Salvation - Not So Fast Says WT.
by Sea Breeze in"if you confess with your mouth that jesus is lord and believe in your heart that god raised him from the dead, you will be saved".
- romans 10: 9. i find it interesting that this simple requirement for salvation has been a specific target of wt since their beginning.. first, jw's call jehovah lord, not jesus.
the fact that scripture calls jesus the king of kings and lord of lords doesn't seem to matter to them.

My bible says that “if any man hath not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his”. - Romans 8: 9
The only way to get the spirit of Christ is by being born again and declared righteous (Justified in KJV) by the blood of the covenant “for the forgiveness of sins” , the one JW's reject.
How will you avoid the wrath of God if you are not Justified?
Romans 5: 1&9 - Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:…being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
The Watchtower has lied to you and told you the NC is only for a ticket to heaven, when in reality it is “for the forgiveness of sins (Mt. 26: 27–28) regardless of destinations.
Without being declared righteous by the blood of the covenant (Justified) you have nothing but Judgment and Wrath in store for you.
I’m not talking about religion here. This is what God requires clearly in his word. There is room in the house about disagreements on other stuff, but not this one. Utterly non-negoitable.
